150th Celebration Information & Event Calendar

Friday 24th October

  • 2:00pm…………………… Official School Opening
  • 3:00pm – 5:00pm……. Guided School Tours
  • 4:00pm – 6:00pm……. Event Check in
    • Check in large meeting room of the church and collect your 150th Celebration pack (Lanyard, Event booklet and Souvenir)
  • 6:00pm…………………… Meet & Greet (Church Hall) – R18
    • A chance to reconnect classmates, and our parish community.  Your ticket includes 1 drink on entry and nibbles.  Cash bar also available.

Saturday 25th October

  • 8:00am – 9:00am …… Event Check In (if you missed Friday’s one)
    • If you missed check in on Friday, no worries you can also check in today at the large meeting room of the church and collect you 150th Celebration pack (Lanyard, Event booklet and Souvenir)
  • 9:30am…………………… Pōwhiri
    • Please join us at our welcoming pōwhiri lead by Hoani Papita and Geoff Carr.  If required, those that need assistance standing may sit in the church during the welcome.
  • 10:00am……………… 150th Celebration Mass (Church)
    • Mass is followed by a morning tea in the hall.
  • After morning tea……. Return to the Church
    • Speeches, cutting of 150th Celebration Cake, Blessing of 150th Celebration window will take place.  This will be followed by a performance by Hato Hohepa o Te Hawera Kapahaka Group (School’s kapahaka group)
  • 1:00pm……………….. Lunch & mingle
    • Have fun mingling with everyone as you enjoy your lunch.  You can bring your own picnic or purchase food from the Food Trucks that are available
  • 2:00pm……………….. Decade Photos* School, then Parish for each decade
    • Decade photos starting with school and then parish for each decade.  Decades are listed further in information sheet.
  • 2:00pm – 3:00pm…… Guided School Tours

Saturday 25th October

  • 7:00pm…………………… Evening Event (TSB Hub) – R18
    • TSB HUB: Camberwell Road, Hawera.Doors open at 7pm and live music will begin from 8:00pm.  This is not a sit-down meal, but food is catered, and a cash bar is available to purchase beverages.Band:  Rastang Entertainment

Sunday 26th October

  • 9:00am ………………….. Parish MassNormal Sunday Parish Mass includes official closing of 150th Celebration Event by Hoani Papita and Geoff Carr.
